Custom Packaging and Private Label Sourcing in China

Off-the-shelf packaging makes a good product look like a commodity. Your own box, insert and labels are what turn it into a brand — and they come from a different factory than the product does.

We are based in Dongguan, Guangdong, surrounded by box and label printers. We source your packaging the same way we source your product: find the right printer, get samples into your hands, and check the run before it ships.

What we can source for you

  • Retail boxes, mailer boxes and rigid gift boxes.
  • Shipping cartons printed with your brand.
  • Inserts and trays — moulded pulp, foam, card.
  • Labels and stickers — product, barcode, seal, care and washing labels.
  • Printed extras — manuals, hang tags, thank-you cards, warranty cards.
  • Finishes — matte or gloss lamination, foil stamping, spot UV, embossing.

How we work on a packaging order

  1. Tell us what you need. Product dimensions, the type of packaging, and your artwork or a reference photo.
  2. We quote from several printers. So you see the real price and the real minimum quantity, not one number on its own.
  3. Dieline and artwork. The printer supplies the structural drawing; your designer lays the artwork onto it. We check it before the printing plate is made.
  4. Samples. A blank structural sample first, then a printed one. Nothing goes to production until you have approved what you are holding.
  5. Production and timing. Packaging and product come from two different factories on two different schedules. We keep both on the same date, because the one that runs late holds up the whole shipment.
  6. Check before shipping. Colour against the approved sample, print defects, creasing, count.

We handle the factory side, you supply the artwork

We are a sourcing agent, not a design studio. You bring the logo and the print-ready files, from your own designer; we take it from there. If you do not have artwork yet, get that done first — no printer can start without it.

Two things worth knowing before you start

  • Minimums are higher than people expect. Printed packaging usually has a higher minimum quantity than the product itself, and the price per unit drops steeply with volume. We get the exact minimum from the printer before you commit to anything.
  • Screen colour is not print colour. Colour is matched to a Pantone reference, never to what your monitor shows. If colour is critical to your brand, say so at the start and we will work from a physical reference.

Common questions

Can you do packaging for a product I am not sourcing through you? Yes. Tell us the product dimensions and where it is being made, so the packaging reaches the right factory on time.

What if my product is made outside Guangdong? That is common — plenty of products are made in Zhejiang, Fujian or Jiangsu. We have the packaging delivered to your factory wherever it is in China. Domestic freight here is cheap and quick; our job is making sure the boxes arrive before your product is finished.

What if I only want a small quantity to test? Say so at the start. Some formats — stickers, printed cards, polybags — work at low volume. Rigid printed boxes usually do not. We will tell you which is which before you spend anything.

When should I start on packaging? Earlier than feels necessary. Artwork, dielines and samples take several rounds, and packaging is the item most likely to delay a shipment.
